Leo
was a lawyer who retired in July 2010 as partner of Quisumbing Torres law office, Member Firm of Baker & McKenzie International, where he headed its Energy, Mining and Infrastructure Group he heads his own consulting firm, the OLLI Consulting Group, which provides advisory and other services principally to the EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRY, INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES SECTORS. He was chair of the Philippines-Sweden Business Council, former Chair of the Philippines-Australia Business Council, a member of the Legal Committee of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, Legal Adviser to the Philippine Mine Safety and Environmental Association, Country Leader and Trustee of ENACTUS Philippines, involved with Diwata – Women in Resource Development, and was a member of the steering committee of its project called “Tanging Tanglaw: Turning Indigenous Peoples’ Grandmothers into Solar Engineers”. Leo was also an advocate of planting bamboo as a means of creating livelihood projects; and throughout the year, he collected used advertising tarps to be deployed through the Land Rover Club of the Philippines as temporary shelters for victims of natural disasters.
